The Public Relations Manager will report to the Executive Director and is charged with developing and executing strategic communications that encompass Komen Puget Sound’s priorities to raise funds, engage new audiences and promote Komen Puget Sound as the leading breast cancer organization in our 16-county service area.
Primary responsibilities include creating, planning, implementing and measuring comprehensive communications, public relations and marketing strategies that will enhance the Komen Puget Sound’s image and position within the marketplace and with the general public. Deliverables including developing short-term and long-term plans and budgets for public relations, communications and marketing programs and accompanying activities to achieve growth and brand awareness goals locally and regionally.

The Volunteer Development Intern works as a member of the Affiliate development team to lend support to two fall fundraising luncheons, our Paint it Pink campaign, 2015 Grace Notes Gala and 2015 Race for the Cure. This is a part-time, 15-hour a week, unpaid and temporary position: September 15, 2014 – December 5, 2014. Schedule is flexible.
