SPRING 2010
A Message from Cheryl Shaw, Executive Director
I am pleased to announce that in fiscal year 2010 the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure awarded $2.2 million in community grants. We also persist in increasing awareness and access to screenings in targeted areas, continue to fund ground-breaking research to find the cures for the disease and advocating on behalf of medically underserved women and breast cancer survivors. We know our success is not possible without you, and we appreciate your support in helping us work toward a world without breast cancer.
Please see our annual report that shows the impact of our collective efforts over the past year. Thank you! I encourage you to join us at the Puget Sound Race for the Cure on June 6th at Seattle Center so we can continue to battle this disease together.

You Can Make a Difference
An estimated 4,500 Washington State women will receive a diagnosis of breast cancer this year, and many more breast cancers will go undetected due to inability to access screening. Komen Puget Sound Affiliate is committed to providing education, screening, and treatment support to underserved women living in Western Washington. But we cannot do it without your help. Your gift of $150 can provide a life saving mammogram screening for one woman through our Komen community grants program.
Will you help by making donation today?
