Join us at the Komen Puget Sound annual Advocacy Day on February 18, 2014 in Olympia. With implementation of the Affordable Care Act, critical safety net programs are now under threat of deep cuts or elimination altogether.
State funding for the Breast and Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) is scheduled to be phased out over the next years, leaving many low-income Washington State women without access to breast cancer screening and diagnosis. State funding for the Breast Cervical Cancer Treatment Program (BCCTP) has been eliminated as of January 1, 2014. We need to restore this vital program and provide low-income women who remain uninsured with access to life-saving treatment services.
Become an advocate and give voice to vulnerable women who cannot speak for themselves. We will prepare you to meet face to face with lawmakers to tell them why restoring the screening and treatment programs are so critical. Let’s give Washington’s low-income women a fighting chance! Register now.
