The Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen hosted the 11th annual Lunch for the Cure® at The Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center on October 4, 2012 with more than 650 in attendance who together raised $240,000 to further the Komen vision of a world without breast cancer. The program, hosted by KING 5 News Anchor Jean Enersen, featured three special guests:

• Laressa Korde, MD, MPH, a prominent breast cancer researcher from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
• Agueda Fernandez-Webster, a Latina Breast Health Navigator with the Franciscan Foundation
• Rebecca Seago-Coyle, a young breast cancer survivor from Olympia

All three speakers highlighted different ways in which Komen Puget Sound is impacting the lives of women in Pierce County facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
